Please show your support for team thyssenkrupp UK in aid of Cancer Research

If you remember back in November 2016 we announced in our UK Newsletter that we would be participating in the 2017 London Triathlon, all we needed were 15 volunteers, and we got them! They are enthusiastic and raring to go. On Friday 5th of May, we gathered the troops here at our Solihull office and planned our first ever collaborative charity event across multiple thyssenkrupp sites.

Our team consists of Lee Jones, James Clark, Mark Chapman, Edward Nelson, Aaron Crinnian, Owen Martin, James Bailey, Scott Kingsbury, Simon Davies, Graeme Milner, Mark Aylett, Ray Graggs and Phil Relph. These employees work across various Elevator, Aerospace and Materials sites.

The Triathlon takes place on Saturday 22nd of July. It will consist of a 1.5km swim across the River Thames, followed by a 40k bike ride with a 10k run to finish, all in the name of charity.

Below you can see our team pictured at our practice run here at our Solihull office last week. Terry Sargeant, UK CEO (pictured far left) met the team and wished them the best adding ‘I am really pleased to see a gathering of tk employees across various UK sites pulling together for the London Triathlon event. I am aware that many of our employees up and down the country are actively supporting various charities and I hope we, as a business, can aim to be more supportive where possible in the future’.
